High Heat Days Data

The frequency of days when the temperatures are above certain levels are known to increase the risk of a wide range of health problems. Extreme heat increases risk for milder conditions like heat rash and heat cramps, to the more severe heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Measure Description:

  • The Days with High Temperature at or above 95°F is the number of days when the daily high temperature was at or above 95 degrees Fahrenheit by County, Year, Month.
  • The Days with Low Temperature at or above 70°F is the number of days when the daily overnight low temperature was at or above 70 degrees Fahrenheit by County, Year, Month.

To download a data table click on the Title Text of the data table, click "Download" on the right below the data visualization, click "Crosstab" from the listed file formats, and click "Download". A '.csv' file will then download and can be opened in a text or spreadsheet application.
