Temperature and Precipitation Data

Temperature and precipitation levels can impact health in many ways: extreme heat and cold, severe storms, flooding, and drought. Making the connections between weather conditions and health outcomes can be complex.

Measure Description:

  • The Average Temperature is average temperature in degrees Fahrenheit in a county for the selected month and year.
  • The Maximum Daily High Temperature is highest temperature in degrees Fahrenheit recorded in a county for the selected month and year.
  • The Minimum Daily Low Temperature is lowest temperature in degrees Fahrenheit recorded in a county for the selected month and year.
  • The Total Precipitation is the sum total of precipitation in inches recorded in a county for the selected month and year.
