Neonatal Mortality Data

Neonatal mortality is a measure of deaths that occur in infants younger than 28 days of age, and are presented on a five year aggregate basis to reduce the presence of suppressed values due to small numbers. The data can be displayed at the county level, and includes stabilization of rates to better evaluate trends.

Measure Description:

  • Neonatal Mortality is the number of deaths in infants younger than 28 days of age per 1,000 live births.

To download a data table click on the Title Text of the data table, click "Download" on the right below the data visualization, click "Crosstab" from the listed file formats, and click "Download". A '.csv' file will then download and can be opened in a text or spreadsheet application.
