Health Snapshots

The Health Snapshots provide an overview of key health indicators for local communities. This report can be used in many ways for planning and evaluation, including the County Health Needs Assessment & Health Improvement Plan (CHNA & HIP).
The snapshots contain county‐level indicators selected by a group of local and state public health professionals. Topic areas are reproductive health, environmental health, mortality and injury prevention, infectious disease, Medicaid, oral health, asthma, cancer, other chronic diseases, and demographics.
Data presented in the snapshots are 5-year rolling averages. 5-year aggregation of data is used to reduce the presence of suppressed values due to small numbers. This allows for display of data at the county level, and stabilization of rates to better evaluate trends.
